Workout: One-On-One Training with Jackie
JACKIE WARNER
Healthy Foods That Might Make You Fat
Jackie Warner uncovers some nutrition myths that can sabotage your diet. Check out Jackie set the record straight with Dr. Manny on Fox News.
Sometimes the foods we think are the healthiest can be deceiving. Jackie Warner, star of the Bravo reality series Work Out, suggested really looking at the foods you are eating.
"I love
fruits
and you should be eating a lot of fruits, but for someone who is really trying to lose weight, you want to eat fruits that are low in sugar,” Warner said. “And a banana has a lot of sugar calories.”
A medium sized banana has about 12 grams of sugar. Some alternatives include apples, berries and citrus fruits.
Yogurt
is another snack that can help sabotage your diet, Warner said.
"It’s got calcium, vitamin D and guess what else it has - 22 grams of sugar,” Warner said. (That's roughly the amount of sugar that is in a candy bar).
"Fat does not make you fat,” Warner said. “It's sugar and calories that make you fat. Period.
Warner also said to never eat any food that contains eight grams of sugar or more.
To really see results Warner warns that you must be a smart shopper and watch out for deceptive packaging. With a package of cookies in hand, Warner pointed out that you should look at how many servings are in there. The packaging says "only 100 calories" but that's for just one cookie — there are three in the pouch.
Alcohol could also be making you fat, she said. But Warner said you don't have to give it up all together.
"If you're drinking two glasses of wine per night, go down to one,” she said. “I'm not about deprivation.”

Jackie Warner Workout and Client Sarah - A Match Made In TV Heaven
Good news, fans of the Bravo show "Workout" -- Jackie's back!
We're talking, of course, about Jackie Warner, personal trainer extraordinaire, owner of the exclusive Sky Sport & Spa gym in Beverly Hills, and star of her own reality show.
We spoke with Warner for a few minutes by phone recently while she was in New York promoting the third season of the show that kicked off this week, along with the many other things she's got going on.
She kindly teased some highlights from this season, mentioning "faster pacing," "a lot more emotional," "I'm in a relationship," "you're going to see my mom again," and "some of the trainers who were problematic become more problematic this season." Excellent..
Workout: One-On-One Training with Jackie
Last week's episode introduced us to Jackie's potential work out video. She wanted time to think it over, but was told now or never. So she agreed to do it. She gathered the troops to let them know. Really, it was only a matter of time before we'd see Warner's rockin' abs on our television screens, pushing us to keep going. C'mon, you can do it!
According to SkySportSpa, Jackie’s Work Out DVD will hit the shelves on May 20th ($14.98)! Jackie states, "The DVD is unique in that the workout truly mimics a personalized one-on-one training session with me. Function, Form, and Fatigue are the goals and the format is highly personalized, so that viewers feel as if they were right here at Sky Sport training!"l.
Jackie Warner Diet or What Jackie Warner Eats On Weekends
Any time you have great abs and appear on T.V. people want to know how you do it. So while to my knowledge there is no official Jackie Warner Diet Book out yet, she has alluded to her dietary philosophy and daily diet on the show.
Here is what might be a good representation of Jackie Warner’s diet:
Eat Well During The Week, Reward on Weekends
Jackie tells “You need to eat like you’re working; take it seriously, weekends are your cheat days. I’ll have a box of candy at a movie on the weekends.”
Limit Sugar Intake
She goes on to say, “I’m not about deprivation. Sugar addiction is hard to kick, but if you limit it to two days a week, eventually you’ll want and need less.”
Coffee
In the show, there is a perpetual “tall” Starbucks coffee on Jackie’s desk. Knowing her position on sugar, I bet it’s black. Not surprising as black coffee has no calories and caffeine has known fat burning properties.
Eat Protein and Fruit
She recommends this many times on the show. Ms. Warner most likely eats any number of fruits which are naturally low calorie and high in fiber. She probably also chooses lean protein sources. She was eating scrambled eggs and melon for breakfast in one episode which is the perfect protein/fruit combo.
Book Me
For those of you who want more details on Jackie’s nutrition and fitness you won’t have to wait much longer. According to Jackie she’s writing a book. “My book will allow people to succeed. I’ve been in the trenches and have experienced human nature. I know what qualities are needed to do this long term.
